From a noobe perspective, a non fixed wing has issues like folding up mid air and falling out of sky. I saw a UA-cam video of a guy who had a trike and used 2 - 16 foot Olympic fiberglass pole vaulting poles. One was verticle to hold the wing up. The second was horizontal forming a T at the top. This served several functions. It was to hold it upright so no chance of tearing on the ground from anything. Also he didn't need 2 other people to hold the wing open to fill it and get it over head. He could taxi out to run way and take off much like a Cessna 182 or any other high wing. The fiberglass poles are also very flexible and kept the wing not only upright, but also kept it open much like a fixed wing. I thought this idea would really take off because of the advantages and the relative light weight of the fiberglass poles. Maybe you could look into this and make it a subject of a video for safer non fixed wing flight. If I find any videos of this modification I'll post the link here. Keeping the wing upright and open may eliminate many such terrible instances of pilot fatalities and make the sport much safer. Hope you check it in Tucker!! Anything that can make it safer and easier would be desirable, though there may be disadvantages to this modification. Rocky Stone.
